This creek had a very
even gradient and did not let up the entire time. Midway through the run,
the creek left civilization. This creek had lots of wood, several blind
turns and was very small in the braids. We had to portage 6 times.
There were 2 log dams above the braids, 2 in the braided section and 2 below,
one of which was in another short braided section. The fourth portage was
actually around two trees that were fairly close together. Portage #5 was
not far off. Several other trees and branches had to be dodged. The
slide before the take-out was probably the best rapid of the run along with a
couple more class III drops.
